About Hay Chat

Hay Chat is a video chat that does one thing: it puts you face-to-face with a real person somewhere in the world, in one tap, right in your browser.

What we build

The whole product is built around a single friendly moment — saying hey to someone you have never met. You press start, we match you with one other person live on video, and the two of you take it from there. No profiles to polish, no swiping, no feed. If the conversation is not clicking, you tap next and meet someone else.

How matching works

Matching is random and one-on-one. We do not sell filters that promise you a specific kind of person, and we will not pretend the next face is anything other than a genuine surprise — that surprise is the point. People from many countries use the site every day, and the random pairing means you genuinely cannot predict who picks up.

What is free, honestly

Hay Chat is free to start: you can open the site and begin meeting people without paying. Some features cost money — that is how we keep the lights on without selling your attention to ad networks. We prefer to be clear about that upfront. You can see exactly how it works on our pricing page.

What we care about

• Real people, real time. Live video, not recordings, not bots pretending to chat.
• Low pressure. Tapping next is normal here. Nobody owes anybody a long conversation.
